OptimHal is a Normandy-based SME research company that designs and manufactures medical devices in France for the pulmonary deposition of drugs.

A recognized company

OptimHal is a French laboratory located in Normandy, specializing in pulmonary drug delivery technologies. Since its inception, the company has developed several innovative solutions protected by patents.
Building on many years of expertise, OptimHal has established itself as a leading international player in the field of aerosol therapy.

Quality is a major commitment for the company and all its teams. As such, the Quality department is involved throughout the entire product design and development process. Furthermore, the company's overall organization is based on a management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016.

Innovation is at the heart of our business

OptimHal places innovation at the heart of its strategy by continuously designing new devices to improve the daily lives of people suffering from respiratory conditions. To support this ambition, the company dedicates up to 30% of its annual revenue to Research & Development.
With 13 patent families filed in France and internationally, OptimHal now markets its devices on several continents, including Europe, Africa, North America, and Asia.

Historical

2009
The creation
Foundation of the OptimHal laboratory and launch of the ItinHaler®, the first medical silicone inhalation chamber developed from our own research program.
2011
TipsHaler®
Launch of TipsHaler®, the first spacer device designed to optimize the delivery of maintenance treatments, particularly inhaled corticosteroids. That same year, OptimHal obtained ISO 13485:2016 certification, attesting to its commitment to quality and safety of medical devices.
2012
CombiHaler® and CombiHaler Solo®
Expansion of the product range with the development of devices intended for mechanical ventilation: CombiHaler® and CombiHaler Solo®.
2013
New premises
Installation in new premises in Valognes, incorporating a new research laboratory dedicated to inhalation.
2017
OrHal® and Galien Prize
Launch of the OrHal® pediatric mask, the first partitioned mask promoting oral inhalation, and double award at the Galien Medstartup prize in New York.
2019
MinimHal®
Launch of MinimHal®, an inhalation chamber intended for pediatric mechanical ventilation circuits, as well as the adult version of the OrHal® mask.
2020
New TipsHaler®, TipsHaler-HospitHal® release, patents for DigitHal®
Patents obtained in France, the United States, and Canada for DigitHal®. The year also saw the launch of the new generation of TipsHaler® and its sterilizable hospital version, TipsHaler-HospitHal®.

Therapeutic education
Design of a therapeutic education booklet dedicated to children with asthma.
