AnimHal® Cat allows for the administration of medication via inhalation. Unlike oral treatments, AnimHal® Cat delivers the medication directly to the area to be treated.

The respiratory profile of cats is similar to that of newborn babies. Therefore, the AnimHal® Cat inhalation chamber mask is inspired by research on masks designed for infants.
The AnimHal® Cat mask is directly inspired by neonatal research. This mask was developed and designed to optimize inhalation therapy for low respiratory volumes, such as those of cats.
The shape of the AnimHal® Cat mask was developed in collaboration with the SIAMU, Emergency and Intensive Care Service of the University Veterinary Hospital of VetAgro Sup.
This collaboration has confirmed that the AnimHal® Cat mask is suitable for the majority of cats, unlike the round masks usually provided. This is a true innovation that promotes compliance with inhaled treatments for cats.

In small animals like cats, airflow is weak and doesn't allow them to inhale all the air trapped between the valve and their muzzle. In this case, removing the valve improves medication inhalation.
That is why, thanks to our research in neonatology , the AnimHal® Cat inhalation chamber offers the possibility of removing the inspiratory valve in cats weighing less than 9kg .
Comparison of drug deposition with AnimHal® Cat with and without valve*
This graph illustrates that removing the inspiratory valve does not change the amount of medication deposited on the cat's muzzle. However, it significantly increases the proportion of medication available to the lungs. Therefore, it is recommended to use AnimHal® Cat without the inspiratory valve.
