A look inside the OptimHal laboratory: cutting-edge technologies for respiratory research

Our R&D department plays a key role in supporting healthcare professionals, helping them identify the most appropriate treatments for patients with respiratory conditions. We provide them with the data and analyses necessary to optimize each patient's care.

Thanks to the state-of-the-art equipment in our laboratory, we study both treatments already on the market and those under development. These include, in particular:

• A breathing simulator that allows you to mimic respiratory cycles (inhalation and exhalation)
• Face models
• A cascade impactor allows for the evaluation of the aerodynamic distribution of drug particle size, thus providing insight into their deposition zone within the pulmonary system

• A mock lung connected to a mechanical ventilation bench to study our products for the hospital environment
• A measuring bench
• A 3D printer
• A high-performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC)
