How to clean the TipsHaler® inhalation chamber?

The TipsHaler® spacer device is a medical device available by prescription only. It is designed to facilitate and optimize the administration of inhaled medication, particularly for chronic respiratory conditions. Proper maintenance is essential to ensure its effectiveness and prolong its lifespan.

🧼 Weekly maintenance

To maintain the proper functioning of your TipsHaler®, it is recommended to clean it at least once a week:

Disassemble the various components according to the instructions in the manual.
Wash them by hand in a mixture of warm water and dish soap.
Rinse with clean water and then let it air dry (do not wipe).
Once dry, reassemble the parts according to the instructions.

Important precautions

Do not sterilize with heat: the inhalation chamber cannot withstand heat above 70°C.
Do not use a baby bottle sterilizer.
Store it in a clean, dry place.
Keep it out of reach of children

Replacement

The TipsHaler spacer device must be replaced immediately in the event of:

Breakage or crack in the rigid part
Tearing of the flexible parts
Missing piece

ℹ️ In France, two TipsHaler® chambers per year per patient are covered . Don't hesitate to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about it!
